About Us
The County Court of Victoria is established pursuant to the County Court Act 1958. It has original and appellate jurisdiction and is the principal trial court in the State of Victoria. The Court hears over 12,000 criminal, common law, and commercial cases each year. The County Court has unlimited monetary jurisdiction in common law and commercial matters. In its criminal jurisdiction, the Court hears all indictable offences except treason, murder, and related offences.
There are a total of 80 Judges of the Court and over 300 staff, including judicial support staff. The County Court regularly conducts circuit sittings at 12 circuit courts situated in major centres throughout regional Victoria.

About the Role
The Learning and Development Tipstaff (LDT) role provides leadership and support to Judicial Support Staff (Tipstaves and Associates) and the Court generally as a member of the LDT team. It is central to continuous improvement within the Court and is a ‘champion of change'.
As a Learning and Development Tipstaff you will provide high-quality support and services to judicial staff (Tipstaves and Associates), including all In-Court Management induction and ongoing learning and development requirements to ensure that judicial staff are able to competently perform their role. You will also be an integral member of the leadership team for the administration and development of the Judicial Support Staff. These duties are performed in addition to the tasks required of a Tipstaff.

You are someone who actively supports others and provides opportunities and practical assistance in developing their skills and capabilities. About You

* Demonstrated capability as a Tipstaff of the Court
* Experience and /or qualifications as a workplace trainer would be highly regarded
