THE ROLE
Housing Services Officers play a vital role in supporting the delivery of client-centered services to individuals and families who seek housing assistance or reside in public housing.
Housing Services Officers are part of a network of community workers and organisations that share the responsibility for working with vulnerable people to promote and support their wellbeing. Based in offices across the state, the role undertakes a range of tasks relating to tenancy and property management and the provision of housing advice and assistance.
Housing Service Officers at Classification 1 are developing these competencies to progress to a Housing Services Officer Classification 2 at the point when they are fully competent across the assigned housing functions.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

* Assist with the preparation of ministerial correspondence and respond to queries regarding the Housing program and Housing applications from tenants, key stakeholders and other government bodies.
* Assist with Housing specific administrative functions such as processing of bond loan applications, archiving, management of body corporation administration and other tasks to support the operation of the work unit as required and under general direction, participate in the development and implementation of new processes and systems.
* Provide routine advice on housing options from a range of established policy, procedures and standards.
