The Company
Our client specialises in workplace design, strategy and commercial office fitouts. It is a privately owned company with over 25 years of experience in the Australian market. With 50 employees working across NSW and VIC, this business is in growth mode.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager. This is a full-time permanent position based in an office in the Sydney CBD. The offices are a short walk from either Wynyard or Martin Place station.
In this role you will oversee the planning, implementation and completion of commercial office fitout projects. You will be managing multiple projects at any one time varying in project value from $1M-$15M.
This role encompasses a broad scope across the entire project lifecycle, from risk assessments to contract negotiation, ensuring compliance, managing budgets and fostering team performance.
  • Lead and manage fitout projects from inception to completion.
  • Review risks of project contracts prior to commencement of construction.
  • Work with Site Manager.
  • Prepare project forecasts.
  • Chair Project Control Meetings.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and copmleted works toreview quality standards and adherence to specificiations.
Requirements
  • 5+ years' relevant experience in a Project Manager role or similar in the construction industry, ideally with workplace and office fitouts.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Understanding of trade quotations, cost management and interpreting plans.
  • Proficient with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Effective communication skills.
