Role Details
We are currently looking for experienced MC Road Train Drivers to join our clients team on an ongoing basis.
Successful candidates will be driving standard, super and ultra quad road trains with road ranger gearboxes, the trucks are up to 60m long and weigh over 200t so experience is required.
Our client’s gear is near new and less than 12 months old. They currently do a rolling roster and will continue to until end of June where it will be more into a back to back driver system. Successful candidates will be carting iron ore from their minesite in Wiluna to the port of Geraldton. The trip is essentially sliced into two sections which end up being around a 13-hour trip each leg.
We will hire from any capital city and on the following basis:
Return flights paid by our client.
Ex Perth candidates have the option of the following Rosters:
- 2:1
- 4:2
- 8:2
- 10:2
- 12:2
Interstate have the option of:
- 4:2
- 8:2
- 10:2
- 12:2
International have the option of
- 10:2
- 12:2
Our client has their own charter flight leaving on a Wednesday and Friday morning heading to site(s) and therefore any travellers will need to fly in the day before and accommodate themselves and ensure they get to the charter flight leaving for site. They run and operate their own camps which are dedicated to the drivers with a 24 hour salad bar, home style cooked meals and looked after well (everyone loves the facilities).
The pay rate for these positions is $55 per hour.
Role Requirements and Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience working in your field
- Expere4ince driving Standard, Super and Ultra Quads (side tippers)
- Applicable Drivers Licence
- Ability to pass Pre-Employment Medical and LAB Drug and Alcohol test
