About the role:
A highly rewarding opportunity to join Box Hill Institute as one of our School Based Education Support Teachers in the Community and Early Childhood Programs Unit within the Faculty of Health, Community and Life Sciences.
Within this role you will be providing high quality and innovative course materials and teaching delivery to domestic and international students both remotely and face to face within the classroom.
You will have the rewarding opportunity to support student success in School Based Education Support courses and thereby improve their employment and/or educational pathways.
The School of Health Community and Animals, as part of the Educational Delivery division, provides pre-accredited programs; foundation programs, such as learner support, general, English language studies, transition and work education; and senior secondary school programs such as VCE, VCAL and VET in schools.

About You:
- Certificate IV in Assessment and Training
- Certificate III Education Support or Certificate III School Based Education Support, with recent employment experience.
- Experience in planning and researching for the preparation of programs and learning materials, in the identification of setting standards, and well developed skills in transferring knowledge including the ability to research, select, and use a wide range of learning resources and assessment tools that would ensure a successful training program.
- Demonstrated ability to develop a range of complex documents that comply with all relevant quality standards, including course materials, unit plans and assessment tools.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using learning management systems (i.e. Moodle) to create innovative and engaging learning experiences for students.
- Demonstrated ability or the capacity to work and provide support and advice to students and BHI employees of diverse cultures, backgrounds and abilities, including effective communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills relevant to a learning environment
- Ability to identify both potential and existing issues and setbacks within a classroom motivate and guide students to optimise their learning outcomes.
