The Role :

This role is pivotal in ensuring that residents receive the support, care, and companionship they deserve in their later years. By fostering positive relationships and effective communication, this role contributes to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where residents can thrive and maintain their dignity and independence.

What do we need you to do :

  • Follow the direction of the Service Manager or nominated supervisor in regard to daily duties.
  • Act as a liaison between residents and facility staff, advocating for residents' rights and ensuring their voices are heard.
  • Proactively seek feedback from residents and their families to identify opportunities for :enhancing the quality of care and services.
  • Collaborate with the Leisure and Wellness team to develop engaging programs tailored to residents' interests and abilities.
  • Address family concerns and inquiries promptly and with empathy, providing reassurance and support as needed.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate management personnel while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
  • Proactively problem solve and attend to gaps in resident needs through collaboration and teamwork. Communicate and work with the care team to ensure consistent and high-quality resident care and support.
  • Prepare reports and updates for management on resident feedback, satisfaction levels, and areas for improvement.
  • Build strong and inclusive relationships by communicating effectively with residents, families, and staff team members.

Who you are :

Desirable would be a Certificate III in Aged Care

Good IT skills

Experience:

Typically, this role will require two or more years’ experience in the field of frontline customer service. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be organised, systematic, thorough, accurate and disciplined. You will be continuing to develop in your area of expertise and be expected to provide innovative ideas to solve problems in your discipline. It is expected that you will possess good skills at navigating a complex organisation, forging relationships, and managing through influence rather than direct authority as required.

Even better:

  • Empathy with the aged.
  • Previous relevant experience in Community Care and/or Aged Care.
