The National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA) is Australia's independent expert regulator for health and safety, structural integrity, well integrity and environmental management for all offshore energy operations and greenhouse gas storage activities in Commonwealth waters, and in coastal waters where regulatory powers and functions have been conferred.

NOPSEMA also administers the functions of the Offshore Infrastructure Regulator (OIR), for the offshore renewables industry. This includes the regulation of work health and safety, infrastructure integrity, and environmental management for offshore renewable energy infrastructure activities.

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Director - People, Culture and Safety to join the fast-paced Human Resources & Safety (HRS) Team in our Perth Office on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Executive General Manager - Corporate and Business Transformation, this role will lead the HRS function and the development of strategies, processes and systems to maintain a strong focus on health, safety, wellbeing and performance, in addition to driving transformational change through optimising organisational culture and improving employee engagement and diversity and inclusion.

The key duties of the position include
Key Responsibilities:

As a strategic leader with extensive experience and knowledge, you will interpret HR policies and relevant legislation, advise on human resource and safety issues, and provide advice and support across the agency relating to work health and safety, people management, employee relations, organisational development, and change management.

You will provide strategic leadership and operational management of the HRS function to ensure the delivery and continuous improvement of professional and effective services relating to human resources and safety operations, people and culture, and learning and development across NOPSEMA.

The successful applicant will partner with the Executive team and senior leaders to continuously improve workforce capability and planning, organisational design and culture, employee experience, and diversity and inclusion, by delivering tangible outcomes that drive engagement, agility and performance, to meet strategic and operational objectives.
