This isn't your typical 9-5 role, and you will be part of dynamic team where you will be responsible for the safety and wellbeing of developing young minds while supporting the OSHC Coordinator to ensure the best service is provided to families. Our before and after school care program aims to support families by providing an engaging and stimulating space for children outside of regular school hours.

Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Diploma trained Before and After School Care Educator to join our team Mon - Fri 2:30pm - 6pm. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and engaging activities for children before and after school hours. This role involves creating a supportive and inclusive environment where children can develop social skills, explore their interests, and complete homework tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and engage with children before and after school hours.
  2. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to stimulate children's physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
  3. Create a safe and supportive environment where children feel valued and respected.
  4. Assist children with homework and provide academic support as needed.
  5. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
  6. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain).
  • Previous experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
