Senior Security Architect

Description:

The Information Security Manager will be a regular source of guidance on the overarching security strategy.

Title:- IT Security Architect
Length:- Permanent
Location:- Sydney working on a Hybrid model.
Must hold PR or be an Australian Citizen, must be present in Sydney.
The Information Security Manager will be a regular source of guidance on the overarching security strategy, bringing a business viewpoint to security initiatives and providing a sounding board on technology selection.
The Security Architect will be the ultimate internal resource on security incidents and own the overall resolution of them. They will determine when it is appropriate to seek external input or resources
Key Responsibilities

• Plans, researches, and designs security architecture for IT systems in cooperation with architecture SMEs for cloud, applications and services.
• Develops, reviews, and approves installation requirements for security tools.
• Determines security protocols by evaluating business strategies and requirements.
• Develops project timelines for ongoing system upgrades.
• Reviews system security measures and implements necessary enhancements.
• Responds to, and investigates, security incidents and provides thorough post-event analyses.
• Conducts regular tests and monitoring of network security.
• Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging security practices and standards, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organisations.

What you need:-

• Advanced understanding of security protocols, cryptography, and security
• Strong working knowledge of IT risks, cyber security, cloud environments and computer operating software.
• Experience implementing security solutions
• Experience implementing identity and authentication solutions
• Comfortable working as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desired

• A bachelor’s or better degree in computer science, IT, or a related field
• IT security or risk assessment certifications, TOGAF, SABSA/CISSP (for Security)
• Relevant vendor certifications
• Demonstrated expertise in 2 or more emerging technologies such as Cloud Security (Azure and Office365), Containers, DevOps, Application Security.
