G&Rs core focus is on providing confidence to our stakeholders (internal and external) that the elements of governance are managed effectively; through the:
  • Promotion of a strong 'risk aware' culture

About the role - The Senior Advisor - Statutory Oversight & Records is responsible for:

  • Working strategically with the ASC'S Technology Group to ensure a contemporary records management system is in place and effectively utilised by ASC employees.
  • Providing operational guidance throughout the lifecycle of a relevant FOI request, and/or Public Interest Disclosure (PID), thereby contributing to high quality decision making.
  • Managing the ASC's privacy obligations, resolving privacy complaints, investigating potential privacy breaches, promoting access to personal information, and providing internal guidance and awareness on privacy matters.
  • Anticipating and assessing the impact of changes in Government policy and contribute to the development of appropriate responses from the Statutory Oversight function.
  • Collegiately working with other corporate and operational functions, to ensure integrated user-centred solutions.

About you - we are looking for highly motivated individuals with a strong background in records management, as well excellent communication skills, and experience in leading and delivering quality business outcomes to meet strategic priorities. You will be expected to work collaboratively as part of a high performing team, establish and maintain effective partnerships, and provide timely, compelling, and concise advice to support effective decision making.

The successful candidate will:
