Salary: $122,460.62 – $134,184.51 pa. + leaseback vehicle + super + CLA (further negotiable with the right candidate)

The role of Coordinator Civil Projects provides leadership, guidance and support to the Civil Projects Team for the successful and effective delivery of civil infrastructure projects in the Liverpool Local Government Area. You and your team will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your leadership skills will be essential in managing a high performing team, fostering a collaborative environment, and inspiring the team to achieve targets.

Key responsibilities:

  • Achieving “best value” investment in road, drainage and floodplain infrastructure
  • Developing “best practice” asset and infrastructure solutions
  • Contributing to the analysis, evaluation and planning of medium and long term civil asset and infrastructure projects
  • Undertaking pre-tender/quotation WHS project Hazard Identifications and Risk Assessments of relevant work activities
  • Monitoring the execution and completion of works to achieve required specifications, quality, safety and environmental standards

ABOUT YOU

The successful applicant will have:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent with eligibility for Corporate Membership of the Institution of Engineers, Australia
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a similar role; local government experience will be looked upon favourably
  • Experience in the management of project and program works within budget, time and quality standards
  • Extensive experience in design, construction and maintenance of road and drainage infrastructure assets within the constraints of an urban environment
  • Experience in developing budgets, policy, strategies, plans and programs associated with the management of infrastructure assets

  • This position includes a Leaseback Vehicle or Vehicle Allowance.

  • Ability to accrue up to 2 days of flexitime leave per month, which equates to up to 24 days per year (Note: this is in addition to 4 weeks of annual leave per year).
