About the role
The Home Care Worker is responsible for delivering a high-quality level of care, service, and support to elderly members of society who live independently in the community through individual support, group work, social outings, shopping, personal care, domestic assistance, respite or escorted transport.
They will assist individuals in achieving and maintaining good quality of life, as well as feelings of belonging and self-fulfilment.
- Provide services on an individual basis or a group setting.
- Assisting clients in their general daily living activities
- Domestic assistance including house cleaning, Laundry, Meal Preparing & Shopping
- Respectfully helping clients with there Personal Care needs
- Assisting with Respite needs and care.
- Escorted transport assisting client's to attend outings, Appointments and shopping trips
- Assist in Maximizing the clients independence
- Delivering individually tailored care as per the clients needs
About You
- Minimum Certificate 3 in Disability or related field. Desirable.
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in a similar role working with people who are frail, aged or have a disability
- You have demonstrated experience in working with vulnerable people as well as CALD backgrounds and complex needs
- You are flexible to travel to different client locations
- You have a sound understanding of Work Health & Safety standards
- You operate well in a team and alone, great communication skills
