Our client is an established not for profit organisation that is committed to provide people who have disabilities with reasonable, individualised support services to facilitate access and the successful achievement of their life goals.

The Role

The Physiotherapist is responsible for working in conjunction with a small multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of home-based and in clinic physiotherapy services to care receipts in both NDIS and Aged Care.

The role will entail outreach to Canterbury/Bankstown district and Sydney metropolitan area.

This Includes But Not Limited To

  • Providing clinical assessment and clinical intervention for various movements for NDIS and aged care clients.
  • Provide high quality Physiotherapy assessment and intervention for clients within the context of primary health care in a professional, confidential and culturally safe manner, in keeping with accepted best practice standards.
  • Ensure integrated service delivery and follow up, coordinating and communicating as required with other relevant internal, visiting and external provider.
  • Optimise independent functioning in all aspects of daily living by promoting and delivering a wellbeing and restorative approach to care involving assessment early detection and health promotion.

Selection Criteria

In order to be selected for this role you will require:

  • Bachelor's degree in physiotherapy or equivalent studies as assessed by the Australian Physiotherapy Council and approved by AHPRA for registration.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the health issues impacting the lives of our clients and a strong commitment to improving health outcomes.
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the philosophy and practice of our client's service model and the ability to work sensitively and effectively with a diverse community group.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high quality physiotherapy assessment and intervention for clients within the context of organisational framework in a professional, confidential and culturally safe manner.
  • Ability to establishing trust and rapport, maintaining confidentiality and record keeping.
  • Broad understanding of the Commonwealth and State Health Service system.
