50 Australians die every day from heart disease, and as Australia's leading heart health charity, we are committed to changing this!

We do this through:

  • Funding high-impact research, supporting emerging and leading heart health researchers
  • Working to improve heart disease prevention, detection, care and support for all Australians
  • Advocating to governments and industry for increased funding and resources for heart health
  • Building community awareness about living a heart-healthy lifestyle through public health awareness campaigns, accessible information and resources

Responsibilities

  • Use your sound understanding of emerging research, and issues in physical activity and exercise science to inform communication, programs, advocacy, and resource creation.
  • Alongside our great Physical Activity team, provide insights into the development and creation of the fourth edition of the Blueprint for an Active Australia
  • Coordinate and manage stakeholder engagement, including supporting the blueprint advisory committees and sub-committees.
  • Working closely with advisory committees and internal teams help co-ordinate, review and edit content to create a quality document for the Blueprint that meets the Heart Foundation style guide
  • Prepare meeting minutes, reports, briefings, infographics, website content and presentations to help create and promote the Blueprint for an Active Australia.


Let's talk about you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience working in public health or a relevant policy, corporate or industry position.
  • Demonstrated high level project and stakeholder relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrated high level experience in creating publications and policy documents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including stakeholder communications and public presentations.
