Role Overview:

As a Senior Consultant in Occupational Hygiene and Hazardous Materials at WSP, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing the capabilities and reputation of our Environmental consulting team. Your responsibilities will include leading and influencing projects across various sectors, with a focus on occupational hygiene, hazardous materials management, and environmental health and safety risks.

Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the development of innovative and sustainable solutions in occupational hygiene and hazardous materials management, driving excellence within the team.
  • Lead the successful delivery of complex projects, ensuring comprehensive assessment and management of occupational and environmental health risks.
  • Provide high-level technical and strategic advice for clients, ensuring compliance and safety standards across all project phases.
  • Cultivate and strengthen client relationships, driving project delivery and business development strategies.
  • Oversee technical project delivery, ensuring effective management of occupational hygiene and HazMat risks while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards.
  • Assume a leadership role in project management, focusing on achieving desired outcomes for key clients and securing repeat business through exceptional service.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to a team of professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and shared responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate leadership, decision-making, and mentoring skills to support the development of team members across all levels.
  • Establish and maintain a track record and reputation of achievement, particularly in delivering comprehensive occupational hygiene and HazMat solutions through all project phases.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Possess a master's degree or equivalent in Occupational Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation and specialization.
  • Hold relevant professional certifications, such as Certified Occupational Hygienist (COH) or equivalent, ensuring compliance with industry standards and practices.
  • Bring extensive experience in occupational hygiene and hazardous materials management, including a proven track record in leadership roles.
  • Showcase comprehensive expertise in assessing and managing occupational health and safety risks, with proficiency in developing and implementing strategic solutions.
  • Exhibit a strong project management background with a history of successfully leading projects and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain a highly motivated and innovative approach, committed to excellence and best practices in occupational hygiene and environmental management.
  • Possess strong client relationship skills, with experience in client engagement, business development, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
