About the role

As the Project Coordinator, you will focus on the planning and delivery of restoration projects listed in the Avalon Coastal Reserve Conservation Action Plan, including re-instating water flows to areas formerly used for salt production. You will be responsible for working closely with external and internal stakeholders, managing expenditure and resources allocated to projects, and managing budgets and contractors. You will be implementing project plans, supervising contractors, monitoring environmental project progression, liaising with local and regional staff, reporting outputs and implementing these projects on time and within budget. This supportive team work collaboratively and implement conservation projects to high standards with a focus on working together.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience in the environmental/natural resource management sector, preferably in wetland or coastal environments
  • Experience in project management and operational delivery of projects, including supervision of contractors
  • Demonstrated experience in leading stakeholder and community engagement
  • Experience in complex planning and approval processes
