Employment type: 1 x Ongoing full-time role and 1 x Temporary full-time role up to 4 months with the possibility of an extension
Salary: $106,025 pa - $117,363 pa, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role
The Employee Relations Advisor partners with business to resolve ER issues on both a strategic and individual level.
Deliver high quality employee relations support, research, advice and analysis in partnership with broader human resources and Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) business areas, to directly contribute to Employee Relations (ER) strategy, consultation and operations that support optimum outcomes for DCJ in resolution of employee relations matters.
What you’ll do
As part of the Employee Relations Team you will be involved in all aspects of employee relations in a diverse range of issues which supports the Department to deliver services to the community.
You will undertake ER projects and policy development. Partner with stakeholders to support effective outcomes to ER matters. With support, appears before industrial tribunals.
You'll work as part of a team that provides ER advice and support to all areas of DCJ and manages consultation and negotiation with relevant unions. The team also represents DCJ in various jurisdictions.
What we’re looking for
In addition to the essential requirements ideal candidate should be:
• Formal qualifications in Human Resources/ER or experience in a HR/ER role.
• An understanding of current legislation and policy relating to industrial relations.
• Someone who is self-motivated, comfortable with working both from home and in a team environment when in the office
• Knowledge/experience in tribunals is desirable
• Has the ability to work autonomously but also well in a team, and an ever-changing work environment
