Choice The Discount Store opened its first store in 1996 with the purchase of an existing Redbank store. Now with 31 stores in Queensland and Northern New South Wales, Choice The Discount Store prides itself on delivering value for money to our local communities.
Our team is always looking for new products to help our customers save on their everyday needs with brands like Rexona, Fab, Finish & Cadbury to name a few. Oh, and don't forget the great range of food promos we source as well!

About the role
We currently have two exciting Assistant Store Manager (Support Manager) opportunities at the new store to open soon in Marsden Park . We are looking for experienced retail leaders who are energetic, creative, and looking to lead from the front. This role is perfect for someone who is enthusiastic, hands on, and willing to contribute their own ideas to grow and lead the store and team to success.
Skills and experience
Ability to assist the Store Manager across all aspects of managing a successful team and store.
· Experience in Discount Variety Industry or in supermarkets is desirable.
· Experience in merchandising is essential.
· Experience in or assisting in a management position is essential, we pride our management teams in treating the store as their own.
· Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with customers with confidence.
· Ability to work in a team and solve problems.
· Strong financial acumen with the ability to drive sales and meet targets.
· Capable of successfully assisting to manage a team of up to fifteen.
Availability across all days as we are a seven -day trader, public holidays etc.
