Training Advisor

Georgiou Group has partnered with ACCIONA Construction Australia in a joint venture to deliver a new train station located in Hope Island on the Gold Coast. The Hope Island Station will form part of the Cross River Rail New Gold Coast Stations program. The project will involve construction of a new station structure, car park, intersection upgrades and associated services.
You will have the opportunity to take on an exciting role in delivering a key piece of infrastructure for the Gold Coast community.

What you're good at:

  • We are seeking a dedicated Training Advisor to spearhead our workforce training and upskilling initiatives in alignment with the Queensland Government Building and Construction Training Policy.
  • Driving the achievement of training policy targets, ensuring sufficient engagement of apprentices, trainees, and workforce training.
  • Exhibit accountability in collating evidence for compliance audits, maintaining training management plan procedures, training registers, and overseeing day-to-day training coordination.
  • Ideally 4 + years as a Training Advisor or Training Coordinator in the construction or heavy industry sector.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and a proactive attitude and approach to driving training outcomes on-site.

What you'll do:

  • Ensure the project achieves its training policy targets regarding the engagement of apprentices, trainees, and other workforce training in line with the Queensland Building and Construction Training Policy.
  • Overall accountability for reporting requirements using the Queensland Government Training Policy Administration System (TPAS), including uploading of the Skills Development Plan, monthly training hours and the Practical Completion Report.
  • Act as the primary liaison for training and development opportunities with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Responsible for rolling out employment programs to generate new entrant trainees to the industry and continue to provide guidance and support throughout the lifecycle of the program.
