The Client
B & L Mechanical Air Services in Jilliby, NSW specialise in all aspects of HVAC duct and equipment installations. They are now looking to hire a motivated individual to join their successful team as a Sheetmetal Trades Worker.
The Role
This is a full-time role with an annual salary set between $95,000 to $105,000, depending on experience plus superannuation.
The Responsibilities
Some tasks may include.
- Read and understand mechanical drawings and specifications
- Fabricate, install, and repair a wide variety of metal sheet goods, including HVAC duct systems
- Set out penetrations, service locations and datum lines
- Cut penetrations in the building structure
- Install plinth surrounds and inertia bases
- Seal penetrations and flashings
- Assisting with pipe installation
- Fix brackets and hangers for any associated services and equipment
- Fabricate equipment support frames
- Install condensate trays, duct and pipework
- Install HVAC duct & equipment
- Repair and maintain sheet metal products
- Review detailed blueprints, drawings, and specifications
The Requirements:
- Relevant trade certificate preferred
- Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience as a Sheetmetal Trades
- Familiarity with HVAC ductwork and equipment installation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering specifications
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to pass a drug and alcohol test
- Verifiable work references
