About you

As a Primary teacher you will be innovative, highly skilled and passionate. You will play a vital part in developing and implementing effective lesson plans to ensure high-quality student learning and engagement.

The successful candidate will:

  • have minimum two years full-time teaching experience
  • a firm knowledge and commitment to the Church’s mission in Catholic Education and personal faith practice
  • an ability to design and implement rigorous and engaging learning to meet the diverse needs of students
  • sound knowledge and understanding of K-6 Curriculum and the application of effective learning pedagogies
  • effective interpersonal skills and be prepared to work collaboratively as a member of a team in a dynamic contemporary learning environment
  • an ability to effectively use formative and summative assessment techniques
  • understanding of the use of data to differentiate programs, establish challenging learning goals and provide effective feedback to students
  • excellent classroom management that is proactive in supporting the wellbeing of students
  • an ability to integrate ICT effectively and creatively to provide authentic learning opportunities within a contemporary environment.

You will have attained:

  • minimum two years full time teaching experience
  • a Tertiary qualification in Education
  • eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
  • qualifications in Religious Education or Theology Per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead in Sydney Catholic Schools, or the commitment to undertake this qualification
  • an SCS Employee ID Number, by com
  • employee ID registration number with Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) or a commitment to Register to Teach in SCS.
