An exciting opportunity exists within the Human Resources Branch for an experienced and customer centric HR administrator to join the HR Advisory and Workplace Relations portfolio.

Working under general supervision, the HR Advisory & Workplace Relations Officer provides administrative, reporting and team support to the Director, HR Advisory & Workplace Relations and portfolio leads. The role additionally provides administrative support regarding policy development and the management of matters across the HR Service Centre, HR Advisory and Workplace Relations teams, whilst contributing to portfolio projects and service improvement initiatives.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to experience and contribute to diverse, HR generalist and specialist work streams within the portfolio.

To be successful you will need:

  1. Demonstrated experience in providing confidential, HR administrative support, including calendar management and the preparation of papers and reports.
  2. Experience in providing standard HR advice and being able to interpret policy, legislation and industrial instruments.
  3. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) in a succinct, professional, and responsive manner.
  4. Experience contributing to HR projects and/or process improvement initiatives.
  5. Experience undertaking multiple tasks with competing deadlines and applying effective problem-solving skills.
