average of 3 shifts per week including 1 weekend shift
weekends: one shift each weekend
Weekday Rate: $32.76, Weekend Rate $42.74
The role involves solo work from 5 pm
Position Overview:
As a Console Operator at The Station Grocer, you will be at the forefront of our customer service experience. You will be responsible for operating the console, assisting customers with fuel purchases, processing transactions, and ensuring a smooth operation. This position includes the closing shift, giving you a chance to shine until the end of the day.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate the console system efficiently to process fuel transactions accurately.
Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, providing assistance and guidance as needed.
Handle cash, card, and electronic transactions with precision and attention to detail.
Monitor fuel pumps and maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the fueling area.
Prepare and serve hot beverages and food items, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
Assist with restocking shelves, inventory management, and general store maintenance tasks.
Utilise basic maths skills to complete the closing procedures.
Uphold company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and customer service standards.
Collaborate with team members to create a positive and enjoyable work environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions.
Basic math skills.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and evenings.
Food handling and barista experience (preferred but not required).
A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a team-oriented culture.
