Marine Rescue Queensland (MRQ) is a marine emergency service dedicated to protecting the safety of the Queensland boating community. Marine Rescue Queensland, established in 2024 is Queensland’s first single integrated state-wide service, serving the state’s coastline and waterways. In this role you will be part of the newly established Marine Rescue Queensland Unit and support work associated with the blue water rescue capability, dedicated to protecting Queenslanders in our oceans and waterways.The Core Capability Requirements For This Role Are
- Provide the Chief Officer, Marine Rescue Queensland with high level professional support services by designing and implementing management systems to ensure efficient diary management, timely and effective correspondence management and productive prioritisation of tasks.
- Manage the administration of meetings, conferences and other executive events and ensure supporting documents, agenda papers and reports are available as necessary.
- Liaise with managers, senior executives and other stakeholders ensuring tact, confidentiality and discretion are applied.
- Provide support and operational advice to the Senior Executive Officer in relation to administration and management of the work unit.
- Coordinate and contribute to improvement of work practices, including office systems and administration processes
- Work collaboratively with MRQ team members in providing urgent assistance and backup as required and determined by the Senior Executive Officer.
