Our head office is in Adelaide. We also have offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Hunter Valley, Canberra and Perth, and we support flexible working arrangements.
This is a hybrid position giving you the flexibility to work from home and from any of our local offices.

Job Description

The Role

The Product Development Manager will oversee the implementation of the product development roadmap, focusing on new products and features in line with the bank's strategic objectives. They will ensure timely execution of proposals, making submissions to relevant committees. With a holistic approach, they'll weigh impacts on customers, business, and community, ensuring proposals are sustainable and in the bank's long-term interest. This role will be responsible for proposal success, overseeing change management and monitoring post-implementation outcomes against targeted objectives.

In the role you will:

  • Lead product development with a customer-centric approach.
  • Ensure business needs and profitability are met.
  • Assess staff capability for effective customer advice.
  • Deliver products aligned with design and distribution principles.
  • Propose products aligned with business objectives.
  • Consider impacts on customers, bank, and community.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and strong governance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders for effective product distribution.
Desired Skills and Experience

About you

The ideal candidate for this role is a dynamic individual with strong skills in change management, cross-functional leadership, collaboration with committees and executives, and project management. They should have a proven track record in leading change initiatives and product development projects, along with a solid understanding of relevant legislation and risk methodologies.

  • Experience leading cross-functional change initiatives and projects.
  • Proficiency in product launches and understanding key success factors.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation, regulation, and risk methodologies.
  • Skilled in leading organisational change efforts, ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Able to coordinate teams from various departments to accomplish common goals.
  • Experienced in collaborating with committees and executives to drive strategic initiatives forward.
  • Proficient in project management, overseeing projects to meet objectives within timelines.
