About the role
The Health Specialist is a pivotal role for our Liberty Bell Bay site. You will provide expert support to operational and functional teams, ensuring compliance with standards, legal requirements, and effective risk mitigation. Collaborating with internal and external partners, you'll contribute to ongoing initiatives for a safe and healthy workplace, aligning with organisational objectives and fostering enduring health outcomes for employees.
Some responsibilities include:
• Providing expert support on health management aspects to operational teams.
• Managing Injury Management and Readiness for Return-to-Work processes in line with policy and legal requirements.
• Designing and executing hygiene and health monitoring programs aligned with regulatory requirements and the operational risk profile.
• Maintaining processes for the collection and verification of hygiene data, conducting data analysis to identify compliance and hygiene issues.
• Executing GFG assurance activities over the Liberty Bell Bay risk profile, internal company standards, and health authorisations, working with operational teams to close identified gaps.
• Engage and support a range of external allied health professionals.
In light of support services being temporarily suspended during the festive holidays, application reviews will commence from January 8, 2024.About your experience
We are looking for a APHRA Registered Nurse who has strong communication, interpersonal finesse, and negotiation skill.
Key qualifications include:
• Undergraduate or post graduate qualification in Occupational Hygiene or related (E.g. Health Science related, Chemistry / Toxicology)
• Proven expertise in injury management processes and return-to-work procedures.
• Proven experience acting as a return-to-work co-ordinator
• Design and execution of effective hygiene monitoring programs.
• Proficient data analysis for identifying and managing compliance and hygiene issues.
• Familiarity with industry standards like AIOH and ICMM.
• Strong adaptability and communication skills to meet changing business needs.About our team
