About the role Eastern Health is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Allied Health Assistant to join our team. Based in both our residential aged care facility, Murrenda, and subacute bed based wards at Wantirna Health, this position supports the physiotherapy and broader multidisciplinary team to provide therapy and physiotherapy services to residents and patients. Support older people to regain and maintain function and enhance quality of life in this rewarding role whilst being supported by senior clinicians. About you To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Certificate IV (or equivalent) in Allied Health Assistance
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a grade 2 AHA
• Experience working in a rehabilitation or residential aged care facility (desirable)
• Well-developed verbal & written communication skills to enable effective liasion with multidisciplinary teams including effective clinical handover
• Well-developed clinical competence and sound theoretical knowledge base relevant to the workplace
