Description:
ARC Plant Hire are seeking Drainers/ Pipelayers/ Concreters for work on various projects in Perth Metro and across the Pilbara Region.
Your roles and responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
- Reading and understanding plans, drawings and specifications
- installing and repairing below groundwater drainage systems including sanitary and stormwater sewer structures and pipe systems
- Prepare trenching beds as specified, to suit pipe being laid as per Water Corporation manual
- Laying out pipe routes, following written instructions or blueprints, and coordinating layouts with supervisors, including:
- Cutting pipes to required lengths
- Aligning and positioning pipes to prepare them for welding or sealing
- Checking slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers
- Connecting pipe pieces and seal joints, using welding equipment, cement, or glue
- Testing installed drainage systems
- Covering pipes with earth or other materials
- Supervising and teaching Civil Drainer Trainees
Minimum requirements -
· Minimum 3 years’ experience required in lieu of relevant qualifications
· Willingness to operate over multiple regional site locations (i.e. in a FIFO capacity).
