We are employing a Floor Fixer / Flooring Material Coordinator to operate within our family business structure. The successful applicant will be working with our Floor Fixer teams on the job and co-ordinating the material handling to site.
You’ll be based out of our beautiful showroom in Kalgoorlie - Boulder, working closely with our sales and admin team. We look forward to meeting you.
This is a full time position 38hours per week with the occasional Saturday required and overtime where required.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
- Measuring areas to be covered and consulting plans to estimate quantities of floor covering materials required
- Preparing surfaces for covering and removing baseboard trims
- Measuring, cutting and fixing underlay materials
- Laying coverings, such as carpets, linoleum, parquetry blocks, cork tiles and other resilient flooring materials, over floors, matching patterns, cutting shapes around fixtures and trimming edges
- Securing floor coverings and fitting edge trims in doorways
- Sanding, staining and applying finishing coatings to timber floors
- May install wall, ceiling, counter and bench coverings
- Oversee and manage the storage and delivery of flooring materials
- Maintain warehouse to an ordered and tidy standard
- Store, stack, and label stock, linking in with client job sheets with Administration staff
- Assist subcontractors with delivering of stock to site and preparing site for install
- Installation of window treatments
- Tasks as directed
Essential
- Certificate III in Flooring Technology (completed or in progress) with experience preferred
- Excellent time management, ability to prioritise tasks and exercise initiative
- Sound written and verbal communication skills are essential
- Professional presentation, self-motivated and a want to achieve
- Strong work ethic, motivated, positive attitude, able to work as part of the team and as an individual.
- Pass a pre-employment medical and drug screen
- Provide a National Police Clearance
- Current “C” Class Drivers License

Pay: $26.00 per hour
