We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Project Coordinator at our Perth CBD Office on a 12 Month Maximum Term basis.


About this role


As the Project Coordinator you will be required to support project managers & cross functional stakeholders to successfully manage and ensure the delivery of a portfolio of concurrent projects. To ensure that these projects initiatives are delivered to agreed criteria, with commercially competitive standards for safety, cost, timeliness, quality, scope and customer satisfaction.


  • Utilise the Western Power suite of systems (Ellipse, ARIBA, P6, MS Project, OPPM, MS Office) to manage and control project costs, schedule & quality.
  • Support the procurement of primary and secondary plant, including ordering, tracking and issuing to contractors.
  • Execute all projects according to Western Powers Project Methodology, Standards, Processes and Governance framework.
  • Ensure project financials are managed, maintained, forecasted and can be reported upon in terms of Capex and Opex.
  • Assist in reporting the status of the assigned projects pro-actively and on an ongoing basis to key stakeholders, and co-ordinate and manage the work of the project team through up-to-date resource plans and project schedules.
  • Identify and actively manage project assumptions, risks, issues and dependencies associated with delivery ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are established and actively managed.
  • Support the contract team to ensure timely resolution of all technical and commercial issues that arise throughout contract execution.
  • Provide ongoing administrative support to the project and contract team.


About you


We’re seeking someone from within our workforce with experience and attributes that include:


  • A tertiary qualification in project management, business systems or a relevant discipline. (E.g. ICT, Building Services Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture for Real Estate Projects) / HR and / or extensive and demonstrated practical expertise knowledge and industry experience.
  • Demonstrable capability and experience in program and / or project planning, integration, and communication in a utility industry or similar, with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in stakeholder management building rapport and gaining consensus.
  • Demonstrable capability and experience in the relevant project management discipline or area with applied knowledge in either of the following disciplines: estimating, civil, structural, building services engineering, architecture, human resources etc.
  • Demonstrated experience in a project office or project management environment in a relevant project management discipline or area with strong experience in planning and scheduling, project reporting, document control and business analysis.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of software, project management systems and other organisational systems as required.
