Come and work as a vital member of our Infrastructure Services Executive team here at Mareeba Shire Council, located within an easy one-hour drive from Cairns offering a regional lifestyle with all its benefits in relatively close proximity to Cairns.
The Role:
Our Infrastructure Services Support Officer provides quality administrative services to the staff within Council’s Infrastructure Services department which includes our Technical Services, Works, Assets & Projects and Water & Waste groups.
What we are looking for:
- You will have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy dealing with both internal and external customers in person, via email or over the phone
- You will be very organised in your work and able to exercise initiative to manage priorities and meet deadlines on time
- You must have sound keyboards skills and be able to touch type with speed and accuracy in excess of 60 wpm
- You must be an experienced user of the Microsoft suite of programs and familiar with records management software systems
- You will have knowledge of administrative and legislative requirements as they relate to local government, or the ability to rapidly acquire this knowledge
