Join Our Team: Quality Technician - Lighting Systems

The Opportunity:
As a Quality Technician, you will report to the Quality Manager in our quality department. You'll be hands-on, detail-oriented, and adept at problem-solving, performing inspections, and providing expert assessment on various goods, including inwards, outgoing, and returned goods.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect goods from suppliers and provide detailed inspection reports.
- Release conforming goods and quarantine non-conforming goods.
- Evaluate in-house manufactured goods and provide inspection reports.
- Analyze rejected components used in-house manufacturing and generate defective reports.
- Manage returned goods from customers, including inspection and fault analysis reports.
- Collaborate with various departments on corrective/preventive actions.
- Perform minor rework and repair of returned products.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Address issues and provide corrective action reports.
- Deploy and recommend improvements for QA systems, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Higher School Certificate, Electrical or Mechanical trade qualifications, or higher.
- 1-2 years' experience as a quality inspector in electrical manufacturing.
- High level of computer literacy (Word, Excel, and ERP/MRP).
Skills:
- Ability to read drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Strong understanding of material and product quality.
- Proficiency in writing technical reports.
- Experience in a production environment.
- Basic knowledge of Quality tools, concepts, and methodologies.
- Familiarity with lighting products and systems.
- Ability to lift loads up to 20kg occasionally.
- Self-motivated with excellent multitasking abilities.
- Strong relationship building skills.
- Understanding of ISO 9001 quality management system.

Job Types: Full-time, Casual, Temp to perm
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
