About the role

This newly created role will act as a trusted business partner for Ampol’s Quick Service Restaurant (“QSR”) business (including Hungry Jack’s, Boost Juice and Noodlebox brands) in Convenience Retail.

Provide commercial finance support to senior management for strategic and commercial decision making. Ensure monthly financials for QSR business are accurate, including reconciliations and accounting journals as required.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Prepare financial and commercial analysis (including business cases)
  • Drive improved performance across the QSR business including day-to-day operations
  • Create and implement commercial and strategic initiatives (including QSR growth)
  • Review portfolios and business optimisation as well as support other core strategic projects
  • Engage with stakeholders to communicate key findings and ensure understanding of financial implications

About you:

As a problem solver, you will demonstrate the ability to understand business requirements, assess needs, provide advice to relevant stakeholders. As a strong communicator, you will build effective relationships to ensure a high level of collaboration is maintained across the business.

Key skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business, Finance, Advisory or a related discipline
  • Experience in QSR and/or franchising
  • Direct experience in a finance, commercial finance, or related position
  • Strong modelling capability, in particular business case modelling
  • Intermediate/Advanced PowerPoint and Excel knowledge
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to evaluate commercial opportunities
  • Strong understanding of business case metrics and valuation principles
