Description:
We are looking a Medical Receptionist, who can work 4 to 5 Days to join our practice to be a key team member working collaboratively within the practice, providing high quality customer service to all patients. This role will see you managing a busy front desk reception, welcoming patients to the practice, supporting health care professionals as well as general administration duties.
Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Providing an outstanding level of customer service in person and over the phone.
- Experince in processing patient payments and claims efficiently and accurately is a must.
- Efficiently and accurately managing patient appointments and inputting patient data to the system.
- Liaising with other health care providers, government providers, insurance companies and health funds as required
- Providing administration support to the Practice Manager.
Essential Criteria
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated the following attributes:
- Previous medical practice experience is essential
- Be able to provide excellent customer service to patients and health professionals through all communications channels including phone, email,online chat and face-to-face
- Good knowledge of Medicare & Health Funds, medical terminology and medical practice software
- Reasonable typing speed with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong ability to multi-task, time manage, ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Great interpersonal skills with patients and team members
- Detail-orientated.
