In this role you will:

  • Provide a high-quality Speech Pathology assessment and intervention service that is evidence based and solutions focused.
  • Manage a mixed caseload with complex and varied needs.
  • Be able to work with customers of all ages, their families and carers to identify strengths, skills and goals.
  • Use appropriate assessment tools and methods to assess strengths and areas of development, in order to identify suitable intervention strategies.
  • Be able to deliver therapy in a variety of environments, e.g. centre based, schools/preschools, group homes, homes and via telehealth.
  • Demonstrate and embody Northcott values; ‘innovative, respectful and brave’.
    Contribute proactively to the ongoing development of professional knowledge and skills within the Speech Pathology profession.

Requirements:

Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology.

Current SPA registration

Experience delivering evidence based therapy to a paediatric, adolescent and/or adult caseload.

Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload and administrative responsibilities in an autonomous, efficient and effective manner.

An understanding of the NDIS framework and working within a fee for service model is desired.

Be able to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

Excellent communication skills – written, oral and listening.

NDIS Worker Check & Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)

Current First Aid Certificate (including CPR) or willingness to obtain.
