About the role:
Fantastic permanent opportunity within the commercial insurance space for a Senior Business Analyst who has a good knowledge of end to end commercial insurance processes. You’ll be responsible for supporting the business with incremental change and production fixes throughout a variety of commercial insurance assets and portfolios.
You will have at least 4 years’ experience within a commercial insurance business with good technical capability and can understand the technical impacts as the business problem is being presented.
You will have the opportunity to join our large Analysis Chapter that supports a variety of medium to large scale programs across the Suncorp Group. The Chapter consists of around 200 like-minded analysts, where ideas and best practice are shared via masterclasses and knowledge sharing.
What you'll do
- Elicit requirements with key stakeholders to delivery incremental changes and production fixes
- Build strong relationships through engagement with colleagues, and other key stakeholders
- Be technical minded and be open to learning new systems and domains in a fast paced environment
- Use information gathering techniques to proactively discover requirements and synthesize information accurately, completely, and coherently.
- Work collaboratively with delivery teams and business stakeholders to gather, validate and document technical requirements and develop recommendations to complex processes
- Raise, and support mitigation and resolution of, risks and issues using established tools and frameworks were applicable.
- Attend squad and tribe ceremonies, create detailed user stories to within our Jira and confluence platforms to support delivery
- Work close with squad / project members, including but not limited to Delivery lead, Scrum Master, Developers, Testers, Tech Leads, and Business stakeholders to identify, capture, plan and deliver the scope of work.
- Work in a continuous improvement environment to uplift current processes within squad delivery
- Working in an Agile continuous delivery environment and be responsible for analysing and documenting requirements, facilitate workshops and design solution sessions
What you'll bring
- Minimum 4+ years’ Business Analysis experience
- Ability to capably link between squad and tribe members to solve complex business problems
- Good technical capability, can understand the technical impacts as the business problem is being presented
- Good knowledge of commercial insurance systems and processes (Entsia or Duck Creek experience also desirable)
- Experience with standard Agile tools i.e. Jira & confluence
