You will be working for the Trade Finance division of a publicly listed Finance company that offers a range of financial products to corporate clients and has offices all over Australia and are looking for an Assistant Relationship Manager that can be based in either Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.
Reporting to the Trade Finance Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for managing and protecting the relationship between the company and its clients by assisting in the credit approval process, analysing the day-to-day transactions and tracking of outstanding deals whilst providing excellent customer service to clients, introducers and other internal stakeholders.

The role:
  • Completion of Trade transaction processes and worksheets to assist in the approval of Trade Finance transactions
  • Preparation/collating of Trade documentation for settlement and post settlement activities
  • Liaison with China office for daily transactions
  • Liaison with clients in relation to all relevant trade documentation, as well as other ongoing facility management needs
  • Accurately and efficiently maintain a portfolio of Trade clients in the Trade Portal
  • Regular reconciliations of Trade facilities to ensure data accuracy
  • Completion of monthly returns, reports and settlement advices
  • Handling of day-to-day enquiries from Clients, Introducers and other internal stakeholders
  • Early detection of fraud arising from funding of non-genuine Purchase Orders/Invoices


To be successful in this role, you must have the following essential criteria:
  • Experience and understanding of the finance industry, in particular the documentation associated with Trade Finance
  • At least 1 years’ experience gained in a customer service/client relationship management role
  • First class customer service skills
  • First class communication skills both written and verbal
  • An understanding of Trade Finance and relevant documentation requirements
  • Experience using a CRM database
  • Intermediate skills with MS Office
  • Ability to analyse internal processes for servicing a customer and make recommendations and provide innovative solutions
  • A Team player with the ability to organise and prioritise a busy workload with lots of initiative and self-motivation
This is initially a 12 month fixed term contract with the possibility of becoming permanent in the future.
