Nrol is partnering with a leading national law firm seeking a Legal Secretary to join the Sydney CBD team specialising in personal injury practice. The role entails providing essential support to Partners and Solicitors and contributing to the smooth operation of legal activities.With over three decades of experience, the company has been dedicated to aiding Australians in their journey to recovery. About the Role
Responsibilities
- Drafting correspondence and memos
- Corresponding with relevant internal stakeholders to action tasks relating to client files and memos
- Update client files with correspondences accordingly
- Scheduling appointments and diary management
- General administrative duties, organising and maintaining paper and electronic files
- Prepare files for hearing - Briefs, tender bundles, schedules, settlement documents
- Liaising with clients and other third parties
- Billing, preparing invoices, trust account authorities
- Identifying legal matters and recognising legal documents
- Closely assisting the Solicitor within the practice with the daily operational tasks of the group to ensure they are actioned in a timely manner
- Actively assisting the team with adhoc tasks to ensure efficient work practices are maintained
The Successful Candidate Will Have
- 1+ years experience in a legal secretary or similar administrative role within a legal environment
- Previous personal injury experience is essential (either plaintiff or defendant experience)
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong document drafting/filing skills
- An ability to manage time efficiently and work to deadlines is essential.
- Commitment to upholding confidentiality and professionalism.
