Description:
The establishment of the St George Illawarra Dragons ahead of the 1999 season guaranteed that two of rugby league's grandest areas - where St George's history met Illawarra's breeding ground - would be represented in the game's elite competition. As we move forward, the Dragons continue to celebrate the rich history and traditions set out by the founding clubs and ensure that the propagation of both the men's and, as an inaugural NRLW club, women's game remain at the forefront of the Dragons' DNA. The Dragons’ headquarters are based over two main locations, comprising of a training facility at WIN Stadium in Wollongong and administration offices at the St George Leagues Club in Kogarah.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Filming player interviews, training, player highlights, press conferences, club events, match day activities, community events etc
- Photography duties including training, promotional material and major events such as presentation nights
- Editing video content for publication on St George Illawarra social media channels and websites
- Create content and hype reels for media distribution (press conferences and training vision), for Dragons events and game days
- Create, develop and execute story ideas from beginning to end
- Create engaging social content that highlights the personalities of the club’s NRL and NRLW players, brings fans closer to the team
- An ability to attend to work events outside of ordinary office hours
- Must be available for international travel if required
Qualifications & experience
- A tertiary degree relevant to multimedia, film production or similar
- Minimum of three years' experience in a similar position, although entry level candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Experience working with professional sporting teams
- Highly skilled in the use of editing software, especially Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effect, InDesign and Photoshop
- High level knowledge of lighting, sound and production techniques
