The client
This is your chance to work for a highly regarded developer in the retirement living sector, a booming industry in the development space due to Australia having an aging population and not enough housing for retirees. Our client has over 40 villages nationally with more planned for 2024 and beyond.
The role
Due to growth within their business, a position has been created for a Development Manager to join their team. This is an integral role in the business as you will be responsible for working as part of a professional development team on the planning and delivery of residential apartment projects. Key responsibilities will include:
- Ensure Projects Designed & Delivered According to Company Policy
- Monitor Competitor Activity – Direction & Performance of Projects
- Engage & Manage Relationships with Key Stakeholder Groups
- Characterise, Identify & Mitigate Risks Effectively
- Manage Junior Team Members to build their Engagement, & Capabilities
Skills & experience
To be considered for this opportunity it is essential that you possess current development management experience in residential apartments. Other key requirements include:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Property or Construction
- Management of Teams to Deliver Successful Built Form Outcomes
- Knowledge of Built Form Development – Ability to Tailor Product Mix
- Proven Financial & Commercial Acumen
- Excellent Report Presentation, Literacy, & Business Writing Skills
