An opening at a top financial institution for a C++ Chapter Lead has become available. They're all about making markets safer and more transparent for traders worldwide. This a permanent position, and would require office attendance in the Sydney CBD, a minimum of 2 days per week. You must also have full working rights in Australia.About the role
Whilst being a Chapter Lead, hands-on coding will still be required whilst also providing day-to-day coaching of developers in the team. You will also perform strategic project and workforce planning, grow and manage people, whilst defining best practice way of working. Whilst being heavily involved in tech projects and helping to shape their software, you can learn about trading and risk management, work closely with teams to create strong systems, and be a good example, sharing smart ideas.

- Possesses a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in the designated area of expertise.
- Demonstrates at least 3 years of relevant experience indirectly mentoring other employees (this does not necessarily entail a managerial role).
- Demonstrates a firm grasp of core computer science principles and consistently hones C++ coding skills.
- Holds substantial experience in IT development within an agile environment.
- Proactively addresses issues, always prepared to take initiative or escalate matters when required.
- Articulates thoughts clearly and delivers presentations effectively, particularly during sprint reviews.
- Shows eagerness to explore ideas and tackle challenges through collaborative coding efforts.
- Possesses a robust engineering intuition and embraces a mindset of continual growth.
- Displays a strong interest in the financial services industry.
