Your new role


This role as the Engineering Operations Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the hospital's engineering department. This position involves overseeing a wide range of engineering activities, including maintenance, repairs, renovations, and compliance with regulatory standards, as well as providing resources to support capital project programs. The Operations Manager will lead a team of engineers, trades and technicians, ensuring that all tasks are completed effectively and in a timely manner to support the hospital's mission of providing high-quality healthcare services

About you

This exciting position will require a formal qualification Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree or professional certification preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering management or related leadership role, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
  • Strong technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems, with knowledge of healthcare facility requirements and regulations.
  • Proven track record of successful team leadership, project management, and budgetary oversight.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, codes, and standards governing healthcare facility engineering and safety
  • Current driver's license valid for Australia
