About the Role
- Develop and manage analytical systems & tools to support the Procurement team
- Implementation of the company's Procurement ESG strategy
- Support process improvement initiatives
- Preparation of reports for use in the Australian business and for Group Purchasing
- Category management responsibilities for some indirect goods & services
Develop and manage analytical systems & tools to support the Procurement team:
- Development of our SPARC spend analytics platform
- Spend reporting & data analysis from SAP, SPARC and other sources
- Provide transparency of expenditure by our sites and with our suppliers
- Identify expenditure outside of local or national Procurement agreements
- Identify cost-saving opportunities
- Provide data to the Procurement team to help manage existing supplier relationships
Implementation of the company's Procurement ESG strategy:
- Develop the strategy to align with the Australian business' needs
- Promote the company's Social Procurement initiative - especially identifying opportunities for engaging new vendors who are social enterprises or indigenous-owned
- Managing our relationship with Social Traders and Supply Nation
- Reporting on the company's Social Procurement expenditure
- Ensure alignment with HM's ESG targets
- Support roll-out of HM's Supplier Code of Conduct and Responsible Procurement programs
Support process improvement initiatives: Identify opportunities to improve the Purchase-to-Pay process
- Further implementation of the Ariba Contracts and Ariba Buying e-procurement tools
- Management of the new vendor creation process
- Preparation of reporting for use in the Australian business and for Group Procurement:
- Spend & savings reports
- Compliance to Procurement agreements
- Quarterly Procurement reports for AEC and RLTs
Category management responsibilities for some indirect goods & services Travel
- PPE / workwear
- Stationary
Background and Experience required:
- Experience in identifying cost-reduction and process-improvement opportunities
- Two years' experience in a similar role in the construction or manufacturing industry is preferred
- CIPSA student or full membership is preferred Example
- Manage a range of qualitative and quantitative Procurement data sources
- Knowledge of the procurement sourcing process and the purchase-to-pay process
