Please indicate what your true strength lies in (photography or videography). Whilst handy to know you have experience or are proficient in both, there will be a photographer and videographer assigned to each wedding. The roles are different and cannot be done by one person, so it is important to know which one you excel at more.
Location: Sydney, Australia
Key Requirements: Need to have the latest camera and video equipment to shoot weddings (this is a requirement). We do not provide equipment.
Some camera equipment suggestions for wedding photography:
- Canon EOS R5
- Sony Alpha A7
- Nikon D850
- Fujifilm GFX100S
Some lens suggestions (prime lenses preferred i.e 50-56 mm prime lens):
- 24-70mm f/2.8 (16-55mm f/2.8 for Fuji)
- 70-200mm f/2.8 (55-140mm f/2.8 for Fuji)
Some suggested equipment for videography:
- Sony S7 SIII / Canon EOS R5 /
- DJI RS4 Gymbal
- DJI Drone (nice to have)
Audio equipment (ideally to mic up people for speeches, ceremonies, MC etc)
Overview:
We are seeking talented and creative freelance Wedding Photographers and Videographers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for capturing timeless moments and creating stunning visual narratives that immortalise the essence of weddings. Attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a professional demeanor are essential qualities for success in this role.
We are interested in individuals that want to be part of a team they can be proud of, not individuals wanting to run their own wedding business. The ideal candidate has had experience shooting weddings previously or is freelancing and shooting content in other niches currently and has an interest / wants to shoot weddings.
We want someone who can deliver the finest wedding photo / video content. Think Vogue.
Responsibilities:
- Capture high-quality wedding photos and videos, ensuring each moment is artfully documented to tell the couple's unique love story.
- Utilize advanced camera equipment and technical expertise to produce visually striking imagery and cinematic footage.
- Collaborate with our team to understand the creative vision for each wedding and execute it with precision and creativity.
- Maintain professionalism and discretion while working in intimate and emotionally charged environments.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring couples feel supported and reassured throughout the entire filming process.
- Be available to work on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays, as required, with flexibility to accommodate varying wedding schedules.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in using professional-grade camera equipment for capturing high-quality wedding photos and videos.
- Strong portfolio showcasing your ability to capture emotion, beauty, and storytelling through photography or videography.
- Technical expertise in camera settings, lighting, and composition to achieve outstanding results in diverse shooting conditions.
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for capturing candid moments and authentic emotions.
- Professional demeanour, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Punctual and reliable, with a commitment to delivering exceptional results under tight deadlines.
- Must have access to a car for transportation to wedding venues within Sydney and surrounding areas.
- Must have an Australian Business Number (ABN) and be legally eligible to work in Australia.
- Must be available to work on weddings during weekends (Friday - Sunday), with scheduling flexibility based on your availability.
Remuneration:
- Compensation varies based on your experience and skill level, typically ranging from $50 to $100+ per hour
- Wedding shoot times may vary from 8 to 12 hours per session, depending on the specific requirements of each event and client.
