Job No: ISC280 Location: InverellApplications are invited for the position of Safety and Risk Officer, based at Council's Administration Centre. The successful applicant shall be responsible for assisting in the development of risk management policies, procedures and systems.

Essential:
Qualifications
NSW Class C Drivers Licence.
Skills and Experience
Proven ability to interpret legislation, undertake high level research and apply sound judgement and analysis to ensure compliance with applicable legislation and policies.
Proven ability and satisfactory experience in Workplace Health and Safety with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in related field.
Desirable:
Qualifications
Commencement, progression and/ or completion of a risk management qualification acceptable to the Director Corporate and Community Services.
Employment will be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Local Government (State) Award 2023. The classification for the position will be in a range from Operational Band 1, Level 4, Grade 8 to Administrative/Technical/Trades Band 2, Level 2, Grade 10. Salary will be in accordance with qualifications and experience and will be in a range from $1,149.78 to $1,363.40 gross per week.
