Project Engineer

Description:

• Manage the upgrade or replacement of plant throughout the factory to ensure the highest level of performance within the plant can be achieved.

• Develop Capital Expenditure plans and requests for the Melbourne factory.

• Development and maintenance of plant layouts.

• Provide engineering support to ongoing maintenance, breakdown and plant operations.

• Project Management of contractors / suppliers / machinery manufacturers to ensure delivery of projects to budgetary and timeline requirements.

• Continuous learning of current manufacturing techniques and new methodologies to improve the performance of the MiTek plant

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing or Production)

• Experience: 5 years plus years experince in a manufacturing or construction industry preferred.

  Technical Proficiency: Demonstrates a strong understanding of engineering principles, particularly in managing projects aimed at enhancing manufacturing processes. Possesses the capability to apply technical knowledge to solve complex engineering challenges effectively.

  Analytical Acumen: Exhibits critical thinking and analytical skills to evaluate manufacturing processes thoroughly. Capable of identifying inefficiencies and proposing innovative solutions to streamline operations and improve productivity.

  Effective Planning and Organization: Shows proficiency in planning and executing projects efficiently, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgetary constraints. Demonstrates the ability to develop comprehensive project plans, allocate resources effectively, and mitigate potential risks to achieve cost efficiency and project success.

  Leadership and Collaboration: Displays strong leadership qualities, able to lead cross-functional project teams effectively. Collaborates seamlessly with contractors, suppliers, and machinery manufacturers to foster productive partnerships and ensure project objectives are met. Possesses excellent communication skills to convey project requirements, provide guidance, and address any challenges that may arise throughout the project lifecycle.
