Capability Life Cycle Management (CLCM)
Â

The CLCM is integrated into the System Program Office (SPO) and contracted to deliver through-life asset management of Products being supported (PBS). The CLCM performs asset, sustainment and engineering functions to optimise availability and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and minimise risk through life of the PBS. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with Regional Maintenance Centreâs (RMC) to plan maintenance activities and installation of capability upgrades. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with the Design Services Contract (DSC) to plan and execute engineering changes and services. The CLCM delivers functions against the contract scope across the Asset Class Enterprise to support Defence Maritime Capability.

The Opportunity:

The Configuration Officer supports the configuration management and workflow transactions required on the PBS. The Configuration Officers reports to the Configuration & Data Manager, and independently apply Configuration Management techniques in the context of Systems Engineering on Navy Maritime Assets, make decisions on Configuration change, and represent the team in Configuration Control Boards.

The Configuration Officer has knowledge in configuration tools in support of ILS on the PBS, example APLCrates and NAVALLOW.


Responsibilities:

  • Review and manage changes required to the configuration baselines of the PBS.
  • Review and examine the integrity of metadata and conduct data queries relating to verification of updates to the configuration baseline.
  • Review and manage configuration changes and deviations.
  • Participate in Configuration Control Boards.
  • Deliver Configuration Status Accounting data and services.
  • Respond to external audits and Corrective Action Reports.
  • Other duties as directed by the Configuration and Data Manager.
  • Liaise directly with members of the ACSSPO as required to execute your tasks.
  • Under broad direction and in consultation with the Configuration and Data Manager and CSC Manager, actively assist the Configuration Team and other stakeholders.
  • Liaise closely with the Engineering Team, Ship Superintendents and Waterfront Engineers responsible for the LSD to ensure compliance to the Configuration Management Plan.


As the ideal candidate you will bring:


Essential:

  • At least 5 yearsâ experience in an engineering role (preferably within the Defence industry).
  • Experience in Configuration Management Tool (CMT)/TeamCentre.
  • Experience in SCPM.
  • Experience in Asset Maintenance Planning System (AMPS).
  • Must be eligible for ITAR clearance of relevant ship systems.
  • Experience in APLCrates and NAVALLOW


Desirable:

  • Diploma, or equivalent, qualification in a recognised Engineering related discipline.
  • Experience in the Department of Defence.
  • Experience in MILIS


All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Negative Vetting 1 Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a Baseline Clearance or above should apply.
