Test, Report and Maintain
Hanson have an opportunity for a Field Teste r to join our team based out of our Carrington Laboratory , servicing the Newcastle and Central Coast area.
The successful candidates will fill an important role in the testing of Concrete in the field. As this is an entry level position, we are seeking self-motivated candidates with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who are physically fit and possess a strong work ethic.
The successful applicants will have impeccable customer focus and be highly motivated and enthusiastic, be risk aware and safety driven. This is a permanent full-time opportunity with the requirement of some weekend work also entailing RDO’s and overtime.
In your new role with us, you will:
- Perform field testing within the Newcastle and Central Coast area
- Carry out equipment calibrations
- Perform laboratory testing operations
- Ensure NATA requirements are maintained
- Assist the technical team
This role is a great fit for you if you:

- Have qualifications in Testing Operations and/or Laboratory Techniques - preferred, but not essential
- Current Australian Driver's License - essential
- Hold a current White Card
- Excellent Health and Safety behaviours
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills (written & verbal)
- Physically fit
The Recruitment Process:

- If your application is progressed, you will be invited to attend an in-person assessment day on Wednesday 22 May in Newcastle
- If you are successful at the assessment day, then you will be booked for a medical and upon successful completion of this you will be offered a contract

All successful applicants will be required to complete a pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol screening. Random drug and alcohol tests are conducted on all Hanson premises.
