The role

This dynamic role offers opportunities across various spatial data and digital functions, contributing to the modernisation and integration of departmental geoscience systems. You’ll play a key role in supporting advanced data usage applications, with plenty of diversity as you work across a range of geoscience spatial solutions.

As a Senior Geoscience Spatial Solution Engineer, you will be able to put your skills and experiences to good use as you lead the development, implementation and management of geoscience spatial solutions. You will also have a strong focus on industry engagement and support, with significant intra and inter-government collaboration.

We are looking for someone who can provide leadership in the design of new and improved products and processes and the ability to assist in staff training and development and provide guidance to less experienced staff.

While this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other similar vacancies (permanent, fixed-term, full-time or part-time) within the department for the next 12 months.

This position is located in East Perth.

  • Substantial knowledge and experience in managing and maintaining spatial systems within an Enterprise GIS Environment.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in spatial solution administration including development, planning and implementation of geospatial web-based platforms.
