Sniffers Group is a well established civil construction company with 23 years of experience behind them. We are based at Stapylton the northern Gold Coast.

About the role:

Due to continued growth, we have a newly created role for a Store Person / Scheduler. The successful candidate will be an essential and integral part of the business and will work closely with the Operations and Workshop teams.

Core Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and checking incoming and outgoing materials, tools, pumps and earthmoving equipment, with attachments.
  • Unloading of trucks and trailers with forklift when required.
  • Liaise with Workshop when equipment requires repairs.
  • Liaise with Customers and Site Supervisors as required.
  • Build a system from the ground up to allow for Store management.
  • Once built, maintain the store and ensure everything is logged in and out.
  • Ensure all equipment is ready to go – fuel up, clean, grease, test.
  • Conduct regular stocktakes.
  • Strive to meet personal and team KPI’s.
  • Help with the implementation of LEAN, 5S and HPWP principals and strategies.
  • Cross train with our Operations team to assist with Scheduling and Documentation readiness.

At first you will be super busy building the new system (your previous knowledge for this will be key), and then we will teach you the scheduling side of things within Operations.

To be considered for this role, you will bring the following:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Forklift (LF) licence.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple functions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Construction Industry White Card.
  • Valid drivers licence (MR or HR licence would be advantageous).
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Be a self-starter who displays flexibility with approach to tasks.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and also be a team player who works well with others.
  • High level computer skills with previous experience within a warehouse management system as a benefit.
  • Reliability, punctuality and respectable presentation.
